How did we get into this mess? Integrating disaggregated solutions is a nightmare, ensuring end-to-end service quality has become increasingly demanding, cutting costs is like untangling the Gordian knot, and introducing new features is difficult. As communication service providers (CSPs), we now need hundreds of different systems to provision, manage, and monitor our customer network services, each speaking its own language.

Let's step back and simplify how we integrate and manage our resources and services. In this talk, we'll propose simple rules to structure the lifecycle and interdependencies of network elements. We'll leverage Kubernetes' declarative reconciliation approach and extend it to resource relationships. By reflecting these in custom resource models, various CNCF scheduling and orchestration solutions can follow a common schema. We'll also discuss the roles and responsibilities of ecosystem players to support future management system choreography.
