About me
Margaret Dawson is an acclaimed writer and speaker on emerging technologies, open source, and the convergence of business and technology. A twenty-five-year tech industry veteran, she has led enterprise open-source initiatives for Linux, OpenStack, Kubernetes, and, currently, Fluent Bit, Prometheus and OpenTelemetry. Margaret is Chief Marketing Officer and Open Source Evangelist at Chronosphere, a cloud-native observability platform. In previous leadership roles, she drove global initiatives, including portfolio strategy at Red Hat, cloud at HPE, network security at Microsoft, and international e-commerce at Amazon.com. Prior to Chronosphere, she served as Chief of Staff to the CEOs of Apptio and Red Hat. She has worked and traveled extensively in Asia, Europe, and North America, and is an advisor to multiple technology organizations and start-up CEOs. Ranked as one of the top Women in Cloud Computing, she was also named Business Role Model of the Year for Women in IT, and Mentor and Coach of the Year in the Stevie Business Awards.
